YIN YOGA & PRANAYAMA

embodying the season of spring

Yin Yoga is essentially a slower-paced style of yoga based on our meridians and traditional Chinese medicine with postures that you land and rest into for longer periods of time. With the season of Spring as our theme, we’ll spend time nourishing and care taking the organ of the liver.

Within this particular practice we welcome moments of stillness to help you feel the physicality of the poses, landing into the connective tissues, the bones, the nervous system, and the organs to help dissolve tension, evolve our patience, and hydrate the fascia — eventually releasing the pose with grace. Doing so over time helps to stabilize and soften stiff and stressed bodies while enriching the circulation of oxygen and blood. 

Adding intentional Pranayama (breath) techniques to the mix allows us to move stagnant energy before settling into the poses. 

No prior asana experience is needed to join this class. All are welcome
